I have a problem with both Microsoft Office Outlook, Word not responding. When I first open them they work for a few minutes, however they then jam up and come up with 'not responding'. This is becoming quite annoying as it is taking up my precious work time restarting the programs every 5 minutes.
I have looked at other forums, but none of the solutions seem to work. If somebody could help me it would be great. I have a windows 7 computer. For me, I only wanted for the improved OneNote and Excel functionality anyway. Sorry to bring back a dead thread but I've not see this suggestion anywhere and I'd like to just let it be known as an easier option than taking all those steps mentioned by the "MVP".

I'm on Word , office home premium, university edition, 32 bit, windows 7, on nearly a brand new laptop. It worked fine for the first month or so but now I encounter the problems - whenever I'm typing, backspacing, highlighting, anything on word, or even I just click into word again, the Word freezes, and I can't do anything, and it goes into 'not responding' for about seconds. However, this isn't my computer freezing as I can go into other windows and programs without a problem while this happens.
I've tried just using Word as the only program open and this still happens. This was also done by a Microsoft person over the phone using remote-desktop on my computer. This thread is locked.
